Six Nigerians held for illegal stay in Hyderabad
Accused were arrested for staying illegally without having valid passports and visas
Hyderabad: The Rajendranagar police arrested six Nigerians for allegedly staying in the city illegally without having valid passports or visas.
The accused have been identified as Ogunleye Ebenezer, 24, Amobi Kelvin Okoye, 32, a student, cloth merchants Charles Nwankwo, 34 and Joe Bright Sunday, 28, traders Ikechukwu Joseph, 48, and Odiishedrack, 30. All of them used to stay at Aman Residency, P&T Colony, Sun City, Rajendranagar.
Investigating officer of Rajendranagar police station K. Srinivas said, on Friday evening a police team was at P & T Colony on its routine visit. It was at that time the cops came across the Nigerians. They were asked to produce their passports and visas. Among them only Ogunleye Ebenezer showed his passport and visa and on perusal it was found that he had tourist visa, which already expired a year ago. The other accused stated that they had no passports. The accused were arrested and remanded for staying illegally without having valid passports and visas.
