Have more kids, says Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu
Andhra Pradesh would soon have more aged people than youngsters like Japan - CM
Rajahmundry: On Sunday, it was the turn of AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to ask married couples to have more children.
Addressing a gathering after inaugurating an 18-km padayatra from Velivennu village in West Godavari to create awareness on the ‘Smart Village and Smart Ward’ concept, the Chief Minister, at Settipeta village of Nidadavole mandal, said that Andhra Pradesh would soon have more aged people than youngsters like Japan.
“Youngsters are not marrying early. Even if they do, they do not have children as they want to enjoy their earnings. I appeal to them to have one or two kids more if possible.
Though I advocated family planning earlier and I myself limited my family to a son, I find that there is not much benefit due to it now. I see many aged people in our villages. I want our state to have more young people to develop it,” Mr Naidu said.
