Hyderabad: Cyberabad police busted a prostitution gang and arrested seven people, including two female pimps at Gachibowli on Monday.

While the arrested people included two customers, police rescued four women sex workers after a raid.

The organisers apparently advertised on websites like Locanto, Backpage and Craigslist to draw customers. Before getting into the business with a customer, the gang used to check customer’s identity using Truecaller, social networking sites, etc. They exchanged photos of sex workers through Whatsapp.

Police said the gang leader Mohd Irfan, 27, from Barkas, Chandrayangutta, and his associate Baba were tracked down and their flats in Indiranagar and Manikonda raided. The gang employed P. Durga and Laxmi as caretakers. The customers were identified as Perni Crissi alias Rahul, 27, an IT employee from Vijayawada, and Binoof, a bank employee from Pattanakad of Alleppey districts of Kerala.
