Sunanda Pushkar murder case: Shashi Tharoor ‘cooperative’, says police

New Delhi: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor was "cooperative" during questioning last night in connection with the death of his wife Sunanda Pushkar, Delhi Police Chief B S Bassi on Tuesday hinted that more people would be called in connection with the probe.

"He (Tharoor) was cooperative. We will now analyse and take a call. If further questioning is required, when we examine someone it is an open-ended question... The process is still continuing. Some people more will be called," the police commissioner said.

Asked whether the SIT was looking into the IPL angle, he said, "Whatever has been said about IPL will be relevant and will definitely be asked about."

Last night, Tharoor was intensely questioned for about four hours by a special team of Delhi Police on the circumstances leading to the mysterious death of Sunanda a year back.

Sunanda was found dead in her suite at Leela Palace hotel on January 17 last year, a day after she was involved in a spat with Mehr Tarar on micro-blogging website twitter over the latter's alleged affair with Tharoor.
