Fresh input of LeT attack during Barack Obama’s India visit
The second tier of security was deployed by the BSF in the last 10 days
New Delhi: Days ahead of US President Barack Obama’s arrival in India, the Central intelligence agencies have warned that the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Tayyaba outfit is planning terror attacks across the country, prompting India to effectively seal its international border with Pakistan.
This threat is despite the United States warning Pakistan to rein in all terror outfits operating on its soil on the eve of the US President’s visit on Republic Day.

An additional security tier has been deployed by the Border Security Force to block attempts to sneak in militants into Indian territory to carry out a “spectacular strike”, taking advantage of near zero visibility and dense fog at the border.
The second tier of security was deployed by the BSF in the last 10 days, and will continue till the end of January, top officials said.

Fresh chatter by LeT commanders picked by the Indian agencies warn that a group of 12-15 terrorists are waiting to be infiltrated through Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district. Another group may infiltrate through Poonch, sources said. The Kathua group is being led by two LeT commanders Abdullah Shaheen and Taya Rafiq and are planning to carry out terror strikes in the run up to the visit of Mr Obama, according to the inputs.
