Andhra Pradesh dissolves Bhoodan Yagna Board

Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government has directed authorities to exercise their powers and discharge the duties of Bhoodan Board in the state.
The AP government dissolved the AP Bhoodan Yagna Board, which was constituted in 2012, following a complaint from Visakhapatnam about irregular allotment of lands by the Board.
The government said “After careful examination of the matter and with regard to the reorganisation of the erstwhile state of Andhra Pradesh into two successor states with effect from June, 2, 2014, it was decided to dissolve the Andhra Pradesh Bhoodan Yagna Board constituted on Dec.14 2012.
The government appointed the principal secretary of the revenue department as authority to exercise the powers of the Bhoodan Yagna Board.”
