New Delhi: Delhi Police Commissioner B S Bassi on Wednesday said that the Special Investigating Team (SIT) is reviewing former union minister Shashi Tharoor’s statement over his wife Sunanda Pushkar's death case and further action will be taken based on the same.

"Delhi Police has questioned Tharoor. The whole thing will be reviewed. Our process is going on. As soon as we get the report, I will give it to you. SIT is reviewing his statement, whether he will be questioned again or not will be decided after that," said Bassi.

Tharoor was questioned for four hours on Monday at the Vasant Vihar Police Station by the SIT.

Bassi had said on Tuesday that all angles of the case are being investigated, including the Indian Premier League (IPL) controversy and whether it had anything to do with Sunanda Pushkar's death. The Commissioner added that those related to the case will be questioned by the police.

Sunanda was found dead in her hotel room on January 17 last year, a day after her spat with Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar on Twitter over her alleged affair with Tharoor. A case of murder has been filed by Delhi Police in connection with her death earlier this month.
