She team nabs college principal for eve teasing

 

The accused was identified as Malgi Dhanshetty, 38, principal of Gayathri Junior College, Bachupally. He is a resident of Hydernagar in Bachupally. Additional commissioner of police (crimes and SIT) said Dhanshetty was caught while he was indecently gesturing at a woman who was waiting at the Lakdi-ka-Pul bus stop.

 

The She team videographed the incident and found that the principal had come to the bus stop on a bike and was ogling at the women there. “Finding a woman alone he invited her to sit on his bike and behaved indecently,” the police officer said.

 

A case was registered against the principal and he was produced in court. He will also be counselled. Officials said that in another case on Thursday while the She teams were going around Mehdipatnam two students Noman, 19, and Afzal Tameen, 19, both residents of Malakpet, were found giving slips containing their phone numbers and “call me” letters to girls at the Deccan Bakery. They were arrested.

 

Meanwhile, two Intermediate students, both minors, were held on Wednesday for troubling women. The accused who are residents of Moula Ali were standing at the Tarnaka bus stop for more than an hour and passing comments on school girls who were passing by. Their actions too were recorded.

 

“We will not spare eve-teasers and will take strong action,” the police officer said. The city police had launched She teams on October 24 last year to provide security to women and curb eve-teasing and stalking.
