Chennai: The options before N Srinivasan, beleaguered chairman of the International Cricket Council, are limited. His critics including A.C. Muthiah, former BCCI president who initiated legal action on the controversial IPL ownership clause of 2008 that led to all the conflicts of interest, are saying that he should step down honourably from the post of ICC.

It is learnt that Mr Srinivasan is not giving up yet.

Those on the inside say that Mr Srinivasan, aided by his retinue of lawyers, is pondering two options- to sell the IPL team Chennai Super Kings or to resign from Indian Cements boards so that he has no commercial interest in the team
