Sony hackers launch service to takedown any website for just Rs 180
The Lizard Squad offers a DDoS attack tool, which offers services to take down websites
Yes you read right! With a new attack tool, anyone can now take down any website in the world for as little as Rs 180 ($3). The new attack tool is a service launched by the hacker group, famous for the attacks on Microsoft Xbox Live and Sony PlayStation Network.
The service or attack tool, Lizard Stresser, is a simple DDoS-based tool, which can bombard any website by overloading it with requests. The Lizard Stresser is a DDoS tool that floods a website with unnatural traffic requests, thus preventing legitimate traffic from accessing the website. These tools are usually used by hackers to temporarily block a particular website or a person from the internet.
Lizard Squad’s hacking attempt on the Microsoft and Sony servers was nothing but a simple marketing stunt to gain publicity and promote their product.
Lizard Squad is offering the service in various packages. Starting from basic $3 (Rs 180), which will pull down a website for around 100 seconds, to $69.99 (approx Rs 4,200), which will block the site for around 8 hours.
Using a DDoS for blocking or attacking a website, other than your own, is illegal. However, Lizard Squad does this legally as a service, where it offers users to take down their own website or service to test the website’s ability to withstand an attack. This service can help server administrators to strengthen their website’s protection.
Lizard Squad also states that their service can even counteract websites that are well-protected by third-party services. The DDoS tool can bombard the website with requests amounting from as little as 5Gbps to a whopping 20Gbps of data, forcing the website to its knees.
In a recent tweet, the Lizard Squad mentioned that their services are upgraded and now they can go up to 100Gbps per attack. Lizard Squad also tweeted that their Lizard Stresser and private DDoS service is powered by more than 205-500K infected routers.
Power on the stresser will be restored to 100Gbps per attack by tomorrow. All accounts will receive 1 week extra when all systems are online

The service has its terms and conditions, if you opt for it. It states that you shall gain permission to stress test only the servers and networks that are owned by the customer himself, in order to make the firewall better, and not misuse the law.
