Ahead of Republic Day, security stepped up in Cyberabad

Round-the-clock armed check posts have been set up at all the entry and exit points

Hyderabad: Ahead of the Republic Day celebrations, Cyberabad Police have stepped up security in areas under its jurisdiction, which mostly house information technology and related companies.

Round-the-clock armed check posts have been set up at all the entry and exit points to screen anti-social elements, a release from Cyberabad Police said on Friday.

T V Shashidhar Reddy, Joint Commissioner of Police Cyberabad, presided over a review meeting with the security chiefs of all major software companies, star hotels and malls in the city.

The meeting reviewed the existing security system in Cyberabad and it decided to further step up the vigil in sensitive areas in view of the Republic Day.
