Officials said that people should not believe in rumours and must use emergency numbers
Hyderabad: Hyderabad and Cyberabad police have stepped up security at important establishments ahead of Republic Day. All administrative buildings in the twin cities, MNCs and malls in Cyberabad have been given special security. Paramilitary forces have been posted in different parts of the city. “Since there is an alert from Intelligence agencies we have taken special efforts to ensure nothing goes wrong. All sensitive areas are under strict surveillance,” said South Zone DCP Satyanarayana.
The Cyberabad police have also initiated measures to increase security in the IT corridor. “There are special vehicle checkings and searches at different places in Cyberabad. Decoy operations are also conducted in the IT corridor. We have also stepped up security at major multinational companies especially US-based firms,” said senior police officials from Cyberabad. Officials said that people should not believe in rumours and must use emergency numbers if they find anything suspicious.
