Hyderabad: An IT professional allegedly posted his wife’s phone number in social networking sites and other websites describing her as a call girl. The victim lodged a complaint with the cyber crime police here alleging that her husband had put her contact number online to malign her. 
 
The accused also posted her mother’s and sister’s number. All of them got hundreds of calls from strangers. 
The CCS police booked a case against Mr Murali Krishna, a software engineer, working in Bengaluru for the offence. 
 
Police said the woman had filed a harassment complaint against her husband with the Malakpet police station. There were continuous marital problems between them and the police had booked a dowry case against him. He uploaded her number in order to take revenge, police said. 
 
After the woman approached the cyber crimes cell due to continuous calls from strangers police found the number was online. She then suspected her husband who held a grudge against her. “She lodged a complaint suspecting her husband. She also stated that her sister and mother were getting calls from unknown persons,” said a CCS official.
