3 More succumb to swine flu in Telangana State

Hyderabad: Three more persons died of complications triggered by swine flu on Friday taking the death toll to 37. 
 
Two of those who died were men aged 50 and 46. In a release, the government said the number of positive cases has witnessed a decline in the last five days, and the fatality rate has also come down.
 
The government has also advised hospitals to admit and isolate even the suspected swine flu cases. 
The health ministry said that the fatality rate between 2009 and 2014 was hovering around 7 to 10 per cent. 
 
This year, it is about 4.7 per cent, according to the release. The government has said that if a patient is unwilling to get admitted into a private hospital, it should be ensured that the patient is shifted to Gandhi Hospital.
