HyderabadIf AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu keeps his promise, soon 10 Telangana TD men will be nominated in AP government and Central government-run corporations as directors or chairmen, and in the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Board as members.

Mr Naidu had asked Telangana TD leaders to furnish 10 names for these nominated posts. He had also assured them he would accommodate one senior party leader from Telangana to be a Rajya Sabha Member from AP.

TD MP Devender Goud’s son Virender Goud will be made Telugu Yuvatha (youth wing) president soon. Telangana TD Legislature party leader  Erraballi Dayakar Rao, Telangana TD president  L. Ramana, party legislators and politburo members met on Friday. The meeting authorised both Mr Ramana and Mr Dayakara Rao to send the list of nominees to Mr Naidu at the earliest.

Though the Rajya Sabha biennial elections are due in 2016, the name of former MP and Mr Naidu’s trusted aide  Ravula Chandrasekhara Reddy is also being forwarded along with nominees for the nominated posts, a source said.

The source added that three Telangana leaders would get TTD posts as  promised by Mr Naidu. “Naidu’s aim is primarily to give a boost to the Telangana TD unit, which has been subjected to continuous luring by TRS leaders,” the source said.

During the meeting, there was also a heated discussion among the leaders about Kodangal MLA A. Revanth Reddy. “He never attends party meetings; he talks about something and later does not bother to follow up on the issue. This is unacceptable,” the source added.
