K Chandrasekhar Rao likely to be Indian of the Year
Rao is leading the race leaving behind Aamir Khan, Indian Army and Satya Nadella
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is likely to win the ‘Indian of the Year’ Award 2014, as the TRS supremo is leading the race leaving behind IPS officer P. Vijayan from Kerala, actor Aamir Khan, the Indian Army , the National Disaster Management Force and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.
According to the Popular Choice Leader Board, the Telangana crusader and the first Chief Minister of the newborn state is followed by Kerala’s IPS officer Mr Vijayan. The other nominees in the politics category include Amit Shah, Arun Jaitley, Mamata Banerjee, Naveen Patnaik and Shashi Tharoor, who are all trailing Mr Rao.
IPS officer P. Vijayan is the top scorer in the Public Service category and is giving a stiff competition to Mr Rao in the ‘Popular Choice’. However, it is likely that Mr Rao would be announced as the Indian of The Year, 2014. An official announcement will be made on January 31.
