Mumbai: Stylish batsman Shikhar Dhawan has not been in the best of form of late Down Under, which is now a major concern for Team India. The left-hander seems to be stuck at the crease too often without any footwork. And if that doesn’t sound convincing enough, the recent concluded tri-series in Australia has been Dhawan lowest point in his career scoring just 48 runs in four innings.

With the ICC World Cup approaching faster than Shane Warne swiping right on Tinder, India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, coach Duncan Fletcher and team director Ravi Shastri will have to come out with a concrete solution to get Dhawan back in form, or think of a suitable replacement when time, now, is their greatest enemy.

If the selectors can’t find a suitable solution from the books, then they can possibly consider one such personality from showbiz from whom Dhawan can take inspiration from. No no, he’s not got the moves like Jagger but nobody can ‘Beat It’ when it comes to this man. Michael Jackson (MJ) – the King of Pop.

Dhawan has been extremely versatile to conditions outside the sub-continent, but he seems to be missing his mojo in Australia.

The Indian batsman can surely take some tips from the moonwalk, a step that has been mastered by the late MJ. This can help his cricketing stance, especially at a time when he needs to go down the wicket. Yes, there needs to be a bit of improvisation at his end but it’s definitely worth a try.

Coming off stage, MJ has been an inspiration for many and was considered a sheer workaholic. Dhawan, who sometimes involves goes over the line while promoting merchandise, can take some leads from the pop-star, as after all it did pay off.
