Hyderabad: A vegetable vendor and his father stabbed their relatives, including two women, in full public view at the Madannapet market over a business dispute. Six people were injured. One of them was hospitalised in critical condition.

The main accused, N. Dayakar, 26, a resident of Saidabad, used to quarrel with his relatives who had started a vegetable shop opposite his shop.“The victim Rama had started a vegetable shop opposite Dayakar’s shop a year ago. On Tuesday Dayakar and his father Premraj attacked him with knives,” said SI K. Venkata Ramana. When the others tried to intervene they were injured. “His relatives, Shakuntala, Suma-latha and three others were also injured,” the SI said.

The police booked a case against Dayakar and his father. The cops arrested Dayakar but his father escaped. The accused were earlier booked by Saidabad police for attacking some others in a similar way.
