New Delhi: India on Thursday said the special representatives of India and China would meet in less than a month to discuss the resolution of the border dispute between the two countries, even as New Delhi announced that Beijing had agreed to the operationalisation of the new motorable route of the Kailash Mansarovar yatra to Tibet this year.
The new motorable route is from the Nathu-La border point in Sikkim to Shigatse, the second biggest city in Tibet from where pilgrims can go to Kailash-Mansarovar on the highway. About 250 pilgrims from India in five batches of 50 each will be allowed on the new route this time in addition to the usual 900 pilgrims.
