For Ajay Devgn, the shelving of Shivaay has had an unexpected silver lining. After abruptly calling off the shoot of his high-profile directorial venture, Ajay and his team returned to Mumbai, where the actor promptly sat down to allot his now free dates to two other projects. Nishikant Kamath’s remake of Drishyam and Milan Luthria’s Baadshaho are the projects that have now received Ajay’s bulk dates.

The buzz in B-town is that the unfortunate speed bump in making Shivaay has cost Ajay a small fortune and left him with an entire month in which he has nothing to do. He is now in damage control mode.

“Yes, Ajay is in meetings with his other producers. While Shivaay may take some time to get back in action, he has brought forward the shoots of his other films. He’ll start shooting for Nishikant’s film early next moth,” said a source close to the actor. Ajay’s team is clearly in an overdrive to make the best of a bad situation.
