Hyderabad: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said that he had told Union finance minister Arun Jaitley that the Centre had not given a financial package to the state. After his persuasion, Mr Jaitley had announced that the Centre would give the state more than what was promised in the AP Act, Mr Naidu said.

Mr Naidu found fault the distribution of revenue between TS and AP at the time of the bifurcation. He said AP was allotted 48 per cent revenue though it has 59 per cent of the population, and whereas TS got 52 per cent revenue, though it had 41 per cent of the population of undivided AP.
