Domestic flight fares slashed down to Rs 599

SpiceJet reported fifth straight quarter of net losses for the July-September period at Rs 310 crore.

Mumbai: Budget carrier, SpiceJet is in a full spree of continuing its low-fare war with its new scheme titled, ‘cheaper than train fares’ sale. SpiceJet has slashed down domestic fares to Rs 599 and International flights start at Rs 3,499.

The newly introduced  ‘cheaper than train fares’ sale is only applicable on bookings made on www.spicejet.com, online travel portals and through travel agents only. The official website of SpiceJet stated that there are only limited seats will be available only on 'first-come-first-served' basis.

The sale is applicable for bookings made between February 11 to February 13 to travel between July 1 to October 24, 2015.

Reports also state that Domestic carriers have also announced a series of discounted ticket schemes in the past few weeks to attract customers in the March quarter as well.
