Mumbai: Nana Patekar is an actor par excellence. The 2004 crime drama 'Ab Tak Chappan' was one of the first movies to bring the gruesome realistic police drama to the silver screen and it was liked by the critics and film lovers.
The actor is once again set to star in the sequel of the movie and the trailer is as intriguing and dark as the film before.
'Ab Tak Chappan 2' is directed by Aejaz Gulab and written by Nilesh Girkar and brings back Inspector Sadhu Agashe (Nana Patekar) from the Mumbai Encounter Squad to the big screen. He eessays the role of the same honest and hot headed encounter specialist returning to the police force to end the reign of underworld dons Rawale (operating from Bangkok) and Rauf Lala (operating from Mumbai).
"Force kisi ke baap ki jaagir nahi hai," roars Patekar.
The film which also stars Vikram Gokhale, Gul Panag and Ashutosh Rana also play pivotal roles in the film which is supposed to release on February 27. 'Ab Tak Chhappan 2' is not a Ram Gopal Verma production, unlike its prequel and is being helmed by director Shimit Amin. The 2004 crime drama featured Revathi, Yashpal Sharma, Mohan Agashe, Nakul Vaid, and Hrishitaa Bhatt in supporting roles.
