Canterbury (New Zealand): Paul, the Octopus, now has a cricketing equivalent after a robot in New Zealand has predicted the winner of ICC World Cup 2015.

It is expected that co-hosts New Zealand have a realistic chance to win the coveted trophy. However, made at University of Canterbury, the robot named Ikram has predicted Afghanistan to win the eleventh  edition of the World Cup.

Ikram came to its decision after viewing flags of all the fourteen competing countries.

University of Canterbury’s Ph. D student Eduardo Sandoval, has developed the prediction in the robot.
