Hyderabad: The Jeedimetla police arrested a private company owner and his HR manager for cheating job aspirants and taking money from them. The fraudsters promised jobs in MNCs like Amazon and took up to Rs 20,000 from the victims as consultancy charges. However, none of the victims got jobs.
The arrested people, Sai Baba Yadav from Subhash Nagar, the MD of Sai Enterprises and Saipriya from Ameerpet, the HR manager of the company, were arrested after investigation. Police found that the duo had duped around 15 victims and had collected lakhs.
Amazon officials had lodged a complaint against the duo in Jeedimetla after they found job promises on Facebook.
When the police inquired they found that the fraudsters were cheating youngsters using the names of corporate giants like Google too.
“They ran a firm called Sai Enterprises and they also have a computer animation institute called Colour Frames in Chintal. They put up their advertisements on social networking sites, attracted aspirants and took money from them,” said inspector A. Chandra Shekar.
Police officials said that more victims may approach them.
“We are waiting for more victims to approach us. The investigation is still going on. We have already remanded the duo,” an officer from Jeedimetla police station said.
