Andhra Pradesh asks centre to resolve Telangana encroachment
Mr Rao said TS wants to divide staff between the two states on the basis of nativity
Hyderabad: The AP government has once again requested the Centre to take action against the Telangana government for encroaching on institutions which were not listed in the 9th and 10th schedule of the AP Reorganisation Act. The AP government argued that these institutions are belongs to AP. Chief secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao is holding a meeting with all secretaries on Friday at the Secretariat to discuss this issue. He has asked officials to come to the meeting with the list of institutions which were not mentioned in the 9th and 10th Schedule of the AP Reorganisation Act.
Mr Krishna Rao met Union home secretary L.C. Goyal on Wednesday and discussed the institutions in the 9th and 10th Schedule of AP Reorganisation Act. He also discussed with the home secretary about Section 8 of the Reorganisation Act which deals with the powers of the Governor on police in the joint capital of Hyderabad. The CS asked the Centre to follow the C.R. Kamalanathan committee guidelines for the allotment of staff of institutions in the 10th schedule. He said the TS wants to divide staff between the two states on the basis of nativity.
