Most tech giants are showing off their smart wearables, and now finally, HTC has joined the league too. Famous leakster @upleaks tweeted that HTC is ready to launch its first wearable device next month, probably during the MWC 2015 at Barcelona, Spain. According to the leakster, HTC's wearable device, alleged 'PETRA', will run on a real-time operating system developed by the company and will be powered by an ST Micro STM32L151 chipset.

The wearable device will feature a 1.8-inch PMOLED display with a resolution of 32x160 pixels. The smartwatch will weigh about 23g and will be available in three sizes — small, medium and large. The HTC PETRA is will support Bluetooth and GPS, and will also feature an alarm, timer, stopwatch, music control, camera shutter, sleep analysis, sports analysis, daily schedule, weather and smartphone notification.

The smartwatch will be fuelled by a battery that would last about 3 days, which can be re-charged using a POGO pin or a USB charger. The smart wearable is also speculated to be water and dust resistant. One other speculation regarding the smartwatch (if true could turn into brownie points for HTC!) is that it would support both Android (Android 4.4 or later) and iOS (7.0 or later) smartphones.

Expected to be unveiled at the MWC 2015, the HTC PETRA will be released worldwide, with its sales starting first in United States. However, there is no information about the pricing at this point. Stay tuned for more updates.
