After all the hype including Bollywood’s recent hot property Sunny Leone appearing in an item song, Prem’s disastrous acting career continues even in ‘dk’. The director turned actor who is known amongst his fans as the ‘showman’, does nothing but ‘show off’ throughout ‘dk’, which is a political satire.

Even as the makers revealed that protagonist played by Prem is inspired by the early lifestyle of flamboyant politician, who is the sitting minister in the state – D.K. Shivakumar, there is hardly any entertaining factor, however the much talked about 'Sesamma Sesamma' item song featuring Sunny Leone and the debutant actress – Chaitra Chandranath, steals the show despite minor flaws.

The movie kicks off with an aspiring politician getting furious after his wife gives birth to a baby boy! Amused, it goes on for three times till the fourth baby is a girl which turns his luck around and he finally becomes a successful politician. This sets the stage for ‘dk’s entry and and his show-off that continues right till the last scene. Subbulakshmi (Chaitra), the lucky charm of the politician faces an unusual challenger in 'dk'.

The tug of war between ‘dk’ and Subbulakshmi turns romantic and they get married but it is short-lived (five minutes exactly), after they make love! Amidst all these, there is another crazy character, a black magician desperately trying to win an election against the successful politician.

The screen play is patchy and sometimes disconnected. The music scored by Arjun Janya, apart from 'Sesamma', he fails
yet again t
o deliver.

‘dk’ will sadly be remembered as the first film of Sunny Leone in Kannada and the only scoring point is Chaitra, who looks promising on screen!
