Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi not only remained transfixed during the aerobatics display by made-in-India ‘Tejas’ fighter jet, but also spent some time picking up facts about its cockpit and weapons systems as well as the capability of the indigenous Airborne Early Warning & Control aircraft to detect multiple aerial targets at Aero India on Wednesday.

Modi watched avidly as ace test pilot Group Captain (Retd) Suneet Krishna demonstrated the agility of ‘Tejas’ with steep climbs, rolls, and loops, had a close look at the first aircraft which was handed over to the IAF last month, and at the cockpit with Dr P. S. Subramanyam, director of Aeronautical Development Agency.
