New Delhi: To find out the current status of sex ratio and steps taken to improve it, the Supreme Court on Wednesday directed the Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan governments to submit relevant records to the Union Health Ministry’s monitoring committee.

A bench of Justices Dipak Misra and A.K. Goel gave this direction after completion of similar exercise by Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Haryana.

The bench said that as far as these three states were concerned, the data that was furnished had been found to be almost correct.
