Indian media has ‘propaganda’ to ‘malign' Pak cricket team: Hafeez
The Pakistan cricketer accuses media for misquoting him in a report
Karachi: Pakistan veteran all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has slammed Indian media for quoting him as saying that team's chief selector Moin Khan and coach Waqar Younis take most of the decision of the team and are sidelining the skipper while describing the reports as an attempt to malign the Pakistan team.
Reflecting on the report, Hafeez said that he had not said anything like that, adding that this was a propaganda aimed at maligning the Pakistan team, the Dawn reported.
The all-rounder further said that Pakistani team, players and management were united, there was no sort of rift or politics in the dressing room.
Earlier, a report quoted him saying that former Pakistan captain and experienced all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez triggered off a debate over whether the national team was facing internal problems and issues in the ongoing ICC cricket World Cup 2015.
The report added that Hafeez has interacted with the media on several occasions following his return to homeland due to an injury and every time he has had something to say, which suggests that chief selector Moin Khan and head coach Waqar Younis are calling the shots in the Pakistan team and not captain Misbah-ul-Haq.
