Warangal: Nearly 100 tourists from Warangal are currently stranded in Kullu Manali following heavy snowfall in the region, which has disrupted traffic to and from the hill station.
The families of NPDCL engineers from Warangal had set out on a North India tour on February 13. Most of the families belong to Shivanagar and Kashibugga. After touring Delhi and Dehradun, the tourists reached Kullu Manali on Thursday. They were supposed to start their return journey on Friday morning and reach Warangal by Sunday. But due to heavy snowfall in the valley since Thursday they are currently stranded.
To add to their woes, the tourists are left without proper accommodation as their hotel rooms were booked only till Friday morning. Left with no other option, they have been forced to stay in their tourist buses parked at the hotel premises. Relatives of the families in Warangal had appealed to the TS government for help, following which the government officials spoke to the Himachal Pradesh state administration. They have promised all possible assistance to the tourists.
