According to television reports and sources Down Under, Tendulkar, who is revered by fans and players all over, is expected to cheer for the defending champions in their Pool B match at the ICC Cricket World Cup.

What’s interesting here to note is that Tendulkar, who’s appeared in six World Cups, will watch his first title match from the stands. India will continue to carry on win the wining streak after their massive win over arch-nemesis Pakistan in their World Cup opener.

If South Africa have coach Gary Kirsten as their secret weapon, then the mere presence of the Master Blaster in the stands should surely boost the confidence of the Men in Blue. If that doesn’t do the trick, then nothing would.

As far as the preparation for Sunday’s big game goes, mean machine Dale Steyn, who got a beating against Zimbabwe, is fit and raring to go. Both teams have been preparing really hard and toiling in the nets. Questions have been raised as to how long can India rely on star batsman Virat Kohli to deliver and if, on the given day can Ravichandran Ashwin lead India’s spin attack. On the eve of the match, with history backing them, the Proteas look to be favourites but don’t count out India. With both teams looking to add two points to the table, a formidable battle awaits.
