Apple to release public beta version for iOS 8.3 in March
The public beta version will be limited to only 1,00,000 people
After being criticized for the lack of quality features in iOS 8, Apple has taken a step to involve its users in the process of updating the operating system.
According to 9To5Mac, in order to maintain higher exclusivity, the public beta version will be limited to only 1,00,000 people. The iOS updates have already been seeded to developers, and Apple will soon seed it out to public. The report suggested that by rolling out public beta version before hand, Apple aims to test the operating system properly before the worldwide launch.
The report also noted that, as per the iOS 8.3 beta version available to developers, the update has features like wireless CarPlay support, Siri improvements, and an updated Emoji keypad.
Apple’s next operating system, iOS 9 however, will primarily focus on improving the device’s performance and maintain stability, rather than emphasizing on introducing new features. The iOS 8.3 is expected to be launched worldwide in March, and the iOS 9 is anticipated to be launched in June during the WWDC.
