Anushka Sharma's 'NH10' release postponed?
Reportedly, the film has landed into trouble with the Censor Board
Mumbai: Anushka Sharma’s debut production 'NH10' was the talk of town ever since it was announced. The impressive trailer put forth scenes which had Anushka screaming expletives and also included brutal scenes.
It is reported that the movie has landed into trouble with the Censor Board. The film which was supposed to be released on March 6 has been postponed a week further. The Censor Board's new list of prohibiting certain words was put out a few weeks back and hence films need to abide the mentioned guidelines. The film has certain brutal scenes, which are termed visually unacceptable. As a result, the Board has asked to chop off few scenes and mute certain words. The movie is believed to be pushed a bit further as the re-editing will take some time.

However when Absolute India contacted Pahlaj Nihalani, Chief of the Central Board of Film Certification of India, he said, “This is absolutely not true. I haven’t even seen the film as the makers are yet to show the film to us. They will be showing us the film on Monday that is February 23 at 2pm. Only after we see the film can we pass the judgment. This is false news; it’s just a publicity stunt. I don’t know where this news is coming from.”
The makers are yet to make an official announcement about the same. The film marks Anushka Sharma’s debut in film production with her production house Clean Slate Productions. The film revolves around Anushka and Neil Bhoopalam who take on a road trip but it soon turns into a fight for survival. The thriller directed by Navdeep Singh also stars Darshan Kumar.
