Pope Francis hits out at 'modern gender theories' that fail to recognize 'order of creation'
'This attitude' led men to commit new sins against 'God, the creator': Pope Francis
Kansas City: Pope Francis has reportedly hit out at modern theories that consider gender identities to exist along a spectrum by saying that they do not "recognize the order of creation."
Talking about gender theory in an interview in a new book published in Italy, the Pope compared it to nuclear weapons, which encapsulate the capability to annihilate a large number of human beings in a few seconds, and to genetic manipulation that does not recognize the order of creation, reported National Catholic Reporter.
Pope Francis observed that "this attitude" led men to commit new sins against "God, the creator" and added, "The true custody of creation does not have anything to do with the ideologies that consider man like an accident, like a problem to eliminate."
The remarks appeared in a book titled, " Pope Francis: This Economy Kills," which analyses the discourses, documents and interventions of the pope on the issues of poverty, immigration, social justice, and safeguarding of creation.
The book has been written by veteran Italian journalists Andrea Tornielli and Giacomo Galeazzi and was released last month.
