HD videos, route navigation, music, games, apps for pizza delivery, movie tickets, cab bookings, airline check-in the list is endless. Smartphones today do everything you didn’t think possible a couple of years back. And to power these applications, the phones are packed with multi-core processors, high resolution screens, enhanced memory and many more features. Sorry to spoil your fun, but you  have reached an influx point: Your smartphone just does not have enough power to run all of these  cool tools at the same time.

Battery technology is catching up, but not fast enough to keep  pace  with swarming phone apps. Meanwhile, we found three smart phones that seem to  pack in enough battery power  to last you a day or  two or three. But  be prepared to heft  the extra weight of the bigger batteries

The Wammy Titan 4 by Wickedleak is a smartphone that claims to provide up to 4 days of continuous usage with its 5330 mAh battery. With reverse charging capability, this device also lets you charge other phones, effectively acting as a power bank. The battery also features a fast charging mode, which can charge up to 75% in an hour. Running on Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS, the Wammy Titan 4 comes with 2GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory. Measuring 144 x 71 x 9.3 mm, this smartphone has a 5-inch screen with 1920 x 1080p display. The  phone is NFC (Near Field Communication) -enabled to connect wirelessly with other devices. 

Priced  Rs.14,990, the Wammy Titan 4 will be available from March and can be pre-booked through the Wickedleak website.

Marathon battery

With a 5000 mAh battery, Gionee’s Marathon M3 claims to offer 32.46 hours of talktime on 3G networks and 51 hours of talk time on 2G networks. The Marathon M3 features an 8 MP rear camera and 2 MP front camera.This dual SIM  smartphone comes with 8 GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128 GB.  It is powered by Android v4.4 kitkat OS and runs on 1.3GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 processor with 1 GB RAM.

The Gionee Marathon M3 is available for Rs. 12,999.

Early bird

Last year, Philips launched a range of smartphones, including the Xenium W6610. This was at the time, the phone with the maximum battery life phone  to reach India. The W6610 packs a 5300Mah battery in a sturdy body to give you talk-time up to 33 hours and web browsing up to 16 hours. There is a fast charging and power saving mode to further extend the battery life. 

Weighing 200gms, the Xenium W6610 features a 5-inch screen with resolution of 540x960 pixels. It runs on Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS with 1.3 GHz quad core processor. This dual-SIM   phone offers 1 GB RAM and 4GB internal memory.

The Philips Xenium W6610 is available for Rs. 20,262.00 from company sources but is heavily discounted to half this price online.
