THRISSUR: The Bengaluru police served a fresh warrant on Muhammad Nissam,  accused in the Chandra Bose murder case, asking him to be present  before the Bengaluru first class judicial magistrate court on April 17 in a case of threatening a person who had questioned Nissam for speeding under the influence of alcohol.

According to Viyyur central jail superintendent T. Baburaj, the police from Cubbon Park police station, Bengaluru,  reached the prison on Monday and issued the warrant.

The incident  happened a couple of years ago when  Nissam tried to manhandle the man and threatened to kill him. There is already a rape case against  Nissam in Bengaluru, filed by his former  lover who had alleged  cheating by Nissam after promising to  marry her.

According to the  Bose murder investigation team, both cases  will help the police  slap KAAPA ( Kerala Anti-Social Activities (Prevention)Act on Nisham.

Meanwhile, the investigation team is  still undecided on  including  Amal, Nisham’s wife,  as an approver or accused in the murder case.  The police had recorded her statement that she was not aware of her husband’s ‘brutality’ towards  the security guard.
