Cinematography legend Ajay Vincent passes away
Vincent had worked with almost all the top stars of the Telugu film industry
Hyderabad: Popular cinematographer Ajay Vincent passed away on Wednesday. He was 86. Vincent had worked in many hit films like Adivi Ramudu, Babu, Jyothi, Apadbandhavudu, Major Chandrakanth, Annamayya and Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari. He had also directed 30 films.
Vincent had worked with almost all the top stars of the Telugu film industry. He had shot Sridevi beautifully in the film Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, especially in the song sequences. Vincent had also worked in devotional films like Bakta Prahlada, which was released in 1967.
“He shot every frame of my film Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari like a portrait. He presented all my thoughts on screen and I still think about his work. In one particular song, the way he showed the snowy mountains in the backdrop with small tricks was simply superb. We will miss him and it is a sad moment for us,” says veteran director K. Raghavendra Rao, who had worked with Vincent in Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari.
