Kodiyeri Balakrishnan deposes before solar judicial commission

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and CPI legislature party leader C. Divakaran deposed before  Justice G. Sivarajan commission probing into the solar scam here on Thursday.

Mr Kodiyeri later told reporters that a report of ADGP Intelligence on the involvement of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy’s personal staff members should be called for by the commission. He also alleged that the arrest of Saritha S. Nair  by a police party from Thalaserry was deliberately prevented with the aim of concealing facts.

Both Mr Balakrishnan and Mr Divakaran also handed over certain evidence  pertaining to the case to the commission. Opposition Leader V.S. Achuthanandan is expected to appear before the commission on Friday and give his statement.
