WhatsApp’s user-friendly features may soon make it the leader among other social media messaging apps. The tech giant rolled out the WhatsApp Web and free voice calling features, thus encouraging WhatsApp users to cling on to the app.

WhatsApp Web, launched in January, was only accessible on Google Chrome browser. However, the latest tweet from WhatsApp states that you can also access the WhatsApp Web version on Firefox and Opera browsers. Make sure you download the latest version of WhatsApp on your handset. All you need to do is check the menu of WhatsApp and click on the ‘WhatsApp Web’ option. It will ask you to scan the QR code available on https://web.whatsapp.com that will be accessible via Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Opera browser.

On completion of the QR code scan, your smartphone is synced to your desktop, thus allowing you to send and receive WhatsApp messages on your PC. WhatsApp Web version is only accessible for Android, Windows Phone, or BlackBerry users.

The company hasn’t made any announcements regarding the release of WhatsApp Web for iPhone users yet. However, WhatsApp may soon roll out the desktop version for iOS users.
