Former Bihar CM Manjhi forms new party HAM, vows to ‘expose’ Nitish Kumar
Manjhi floated the 'Hindustani Awam Morcha', a front to work for the public
Patna: Jitan Ram Manjhi, the former chief minister of Bihar on Saturday formed a new front -- Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) -- as he and his supporters aim to ‘expose the real face of Nitish Kumar and the JD(U)’.
“We have decided to launch HAM after marathon meetings and discussions with supporters and sympathisers including former ministers,” said Manjhi, who was expelled from the JD (U) before he resigned as Chief Minister.
“I wanted to work for the people, I wanted an overall development of Bihar but I was stopped. I have now come to you so that I can unmask those faces who didn’t want me work for poor and downtrodden of the state. I wanted to uplift the mahadalits and backwards but that was not taken I a very good spirit by the leaders of JD (U) and they grabbed power from me and handed it over to Nitish Kumar. We have formed Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) against Nitish Kumar and his other associates,” he said.
He further added, “I was in the office for nine months but could only work for few months as Nitish Kumar had direct interference in the decisions”.
