Akshay Kumar learns to speak Arabic for 'Airlift'

The actor is taking diction classes to get the correct dialect

Mumbai: Akshay Kumar who is known for his impeccable action skills is gearing up for his next 'Airlift' with Nimrat Kaur. The film is touted to be edge-of-the-seat thriller of the biggest human evacuation in the history of the world.

The actor will be seen playing the role of an Indian-Arab billionaire Ranjit Katyal who plots a brilliant plan to save the lives of 1,70,000 Indians while they are stranded in Kuwait during the Iraqi invasion. As he plays the role of a UAE resident, he decided to take diction classes for learning Arabic language. The actor has been taking classes since the past three weeks to get the correct dialect and deliver his lines.

The film directed by Raja Krishna Menon is produced by Bhushan Kumar along with Nikhil Advani and Vikram Mehrotra. The film is slated to hit the theaters on January 22 next year.
