Fish chokes man to death

Guntur: A man choked to death on the very fish he meant to have for dinner on Sunday at Meesalavaripalli village of Nagaram mandal in Guntur district.

D. Seetharamaiah, 45, went to fishing in the water of Pedamatlapudi lift-irrigation scheme tank.

He caught a fish with the help of a small net.

Seetharamaiah kept the fish he had just caught in his mouth and tried to net another one. Unfortunately, the fish in his mouth turned to be more slippery than he had assumed. It slipped inside his mouth and got stuck in his throat.

Seeing Seetharamaiah struggling to breath, people around immediately tried to help him.

After trying their best, they rushed him to a private hospital at Ponnur where he died while undergoing a surgery to remove the fish stuck in his throat.
