Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directed state finance officials to ensure that the state Budget for the financial year 2015-16  is realistic and all growth engines should be allotted sufficient funds.

Governor E.S.L. Narasimham will address both Houses of the AP Assembly on March 7, the first day of the Budget session.

Mr Naidu, with  ministers and finance department officials on Sunday, reviewed  the preparation of  the state Budget and Governor’s speech. Mr Naidu told the officials to mention the challenges faced by the AP after the bifurcation in the Governor’s speech and the attempts made to overcome them.

He also said the assurances given to the people in the Telugu Desam’s election manifesto, his own assurances, the programmes and schemes implemented by the government in the last eight months, and  the ones to be implemented in the next financial year  should be mentioned in the Governor’s speech.

Mr Naidu also directed officials that the observations made by the 14th Finance Commission, that  AP  will face a revenue deficit  even after 5 years, should find a mention in the Governor’s speech.

The CM said that both, the Budget and the Governor’s speech, should reflect the state government’s sincerity in  developing AP’s 13 districts.
