Mumbai: After nearly 13 years, Abhishek Bachchan will be seen working with producer Vashu Bhagnani for his next film, DNA reported. The duo last worked together in 2002 on the film ‘Om Jai Jagdish’.

Abhishek’s next will be with debutant director Akshai Puri, and the film will be produced under Vashu Bhagnani’s banner. The film was initially thought to be a remake of the Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Do Aur So Paanch’. However, Puri revealed that the script is completely fresh.

Puri was quoted as saying, “I was working on that but now I’ve completely scrapped that idea. Also, it’s not a remake of an Amitabh Bachchan film. It is a two-hero project. Abhishek is already on board. However, we are still finalising the second lead.”

Abhishek confirmed the news and told the daily, “I have agreed to do a film produced by Vashuji. Debutant Akshai Puri will be directing it. We are still in casting, but I am working with them.”

If rumours are to be believed, John Abraham may also be part of the film, and will essay the role of the second lead.
