Karimnagar: Sounding reciprocal, AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said that he was ready to discuss every issue with his Telangana counterpart K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

Mr Naidu was addressing a massive gathering of Telugu Desam activists at a meeting of party representatives here on Tuesday. This was his first visit to the city after bifurcation.

Mr Naidu reiterated that there was need for mutual cooperation between the two states.

“Not only power, let’s discuss every issue. Let’s cooperate with each other. I don’t have any problem in this regard. To solve problems and to avoid challenges, I am ready to take part in consultations with the TS government,” he explained.

“I will extend all possible support to Telangana when it is facing challenges,” he said. He said he would discuss with Mr Chandrasekhar Rao the sharing of power from Krishnapatnam the power plant in Andhra Pradesh.

The TD supremo assured that he was ready to support farmers in the two states who were reeling under severe crisis due to inadequate power supply and agricultural needs. He asserted that he would be happy if Telangana, a backward state, was given enough grants by the Centre.

Mr Naidu, however, claimed that TS had a surplus Budget due to policies adopted during his previous rule.

He stated that the TD governments in the past had developed Telangana on many fronts. Hyderabad was converted into a global city during his administration, he said.
