Jagan Reddy land promise irrelevant: AP government
The task is land pooling is successfull with more than 98 % of land pooled

Hyderabad: The state government has dubbed opposition leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s promise to farmers to return their lands taken for building the new capital as “irrelevant and irresponsible”.
Ruling out the possibilities of negative talk being generated among investors, particularly from Singapore and Japan, AP government’s communications advisor Parakala Prabhakar said on Wednesday, “Jagan’s comments are irrelevant as only 800 acres of land is yet to be pooled. The task is completed successfully with more than 98 per cent of around 34,000 acres already pooled.”
Singapore’s leading newspaper, Straits Times, in a recent article titled “A Singapore in the heart of India” while analysing the positives of Singapore investing in AP, had stated: “Unlike in neighbouring Tamil Nadu, where the rivalry between the ruling AIADMK and the opposition DMK is bitter, Andhra CMs have a record of not undoing the good work done by predecessors. This means that should Mr Naidu lose power in the next state polls due in 2019, there is a good chance that the next person will not reverse his plans.”
