Andhra Pradesh budget session to be stormy
The session would begin with the Governor’s address today
Hyderabad: The Budget Session of the AP Legislative Assembly, which starts on Saturday, is likely to be stormy as both Telugu Desam and Opposition YSRC are ready with ammunition to attack and counter attack on land pooling scheme.
The session would begin with the Governor’s address from Saturday. The YSRC has decided to corner the TD on the issues of land pooling, farm loan waiver and special status to AP.
YSRC MLA G. Srikanth Reddy said the party will also take up issues like sanctioning of the Pattiseema Lift Irrigation Scheme during the session.
Mr Srikanth Reddy said, “We have decided to take up 12 important issues during the Budget session. We are going to take up issues like forcible acquisition of land for the new capital, farm loans waivers, loan waiver for Self Help Groups, special status for the state and insufficient Budgetary Allocations by the Union Cabinet.”
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held a meeting with ministers and MLAs on Friday evening and discussed strategy to counter the Opposition’s arguments.
Mr Naidu told the party MLAs that farm loan waiver will be implemented totally by March end. YSRC senior leader Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy said government should allot the funds for irrigation projects in Rayalaseema.
