Mahesh Bhatt makes his debut as singer in 'Mr X'
The director-producer will be singing a catchy song titled 'You Can Call Me X'
Mumbai: Director-producer Mahesh Bhatt is all set to will debut as a singer in Emraan Hashmi starrer 3D thriller 'Mr X'. Mahesh will be singing a song titled 'You Can Call Me X' and the song is so catchy that the makers are planning to shoot a music video with Emraan and Amyra Dastur.
Mahesh Bhatt confirms, "Music is an inseparable part of me. And every time before we record a song first I sing it. I was doing the same for Mr. X when Jeet's eyes shone up like a child who had found a rare gift. He said, you are going to do it. I didn't see a reason, why not! Perhaps the song was made for me."
Director Vikram adds, "We were in a music sitting when Jeet Ganguli was making us hear this song for the first time there was me, there was Bhatt saab, Mukeshji and of course we liked the song, and what happened is that Jeet said that itna female voice hoga and then you can call me X will be in a male voice so Bhatt saab said give me the paper let me sing the male voice so when he sang it, it just sounded right and then who ever sang it after that didn’t sound right enough so we told Bhatt sir you should."
Emraan Hashmi will play the role of a good cop, he gets entangled into a treacherous scheme and is left to die in a chemical factory. However, as fate would have it, the chemicals in the factory does not kill him but cause a reaction that turns Emraan invisible. The film which also stars the gorgeous Amyra Dastur is set to hit the screens April 17th.
